Part 1: Why GMA-7 TV Viewers Have Forgotten Sarah G?

For over five years, OPM pop princess Sarah Geronimo has inspired her own popularity as a good model of her youthful singing talent, and many people—young or old—were amazed and applauded her extraordinary talent from the time she sang Forever’s Not Enough as a signature trademark of hitsong as well as numerous platinum record sales and awards. As all we know, she was appeared on singing talent show Star For A Night on IBC-13 courtesy of Viva TV based on BBC show in the UK. How this teenage Filipina is so beautiful when she was 14—now turning a young woman in the coming years—living as simple, wholesome, cute, and delightful in the eyes of the public. But this was not her first TV appearance during her teenage life. It was Penpen de Serapen and Ang TV that made her as extra when she was a little girl, although the public, even many kids, don’t really know her in the past. There are many sacrifices and hardships made by her to succeed as she honors her family and relatives to earn their livelihood.

After her TV appearances of the said TV show, she was later appeared on various GMA-7 shows for TV guessing, including the show Magpakailanman featuring the episode of her early life through teen years, played by singer Kyla. A lot of people watching to her, young and old, began to support her to promote everything. Other GMA-7 TV viewers, on the other hand, were often little to support but rather spectate when they watched SOP every Sunday. After a few months of her TV appearance on GMA-7, she left the said TV network and moved to ABS-CBN for her regular performance on ASAP. This was due to the fact that she did not signed a GMA-7 contract before she would rather perform as a regular GMA-7 talents but refused to offer as she currently holds a 10-year Viva Management contract, therefore she was fired so early.

And after 5 years of her TV appearance on ABS-CBN such as various TV shows and guessing, as well as past album launch, mall shows, major concerts, and worldwide tour, most GMA-7 TV viewers may have ever forgotten about her current trend of showbiz career because of the fact that most showbiz news segment and showbiz talk show on GMA-7 have not yet featured to report about her as if they only give way on the report of GMA-7 artists and various music and movie artists. This was the big disappointment of Viva Artists Agency ( VAA) when they found a lapse of GMA-7 showbiz reporting to Miss Geronimo, causing a decline of album record sales of her past 2nd to 4th album release aside from the issue of music piracy. Although GMA-7 has their own past and present Sarah G TV commercials, this was no effect to re-aware for the said audience, whether they were partly like her or not.

And even despite the fact that GMA-7 continues to dominate in Mega Manila according to official TV ratings in the last 5 years—up against ABS-CBN at #2 spot where Sarah G was appearing—the question now arises on what other way would the supporter of the said singer be cooperate to GMA-7 TV viewers—most of them middle and lower class panel homes—were not be able to hold their promise as they would still support or spectate GMA-7 singing and acting artists and TV shows with respect to their favoritism. Here are the 10 Worst Reasons Why Most GMA-7 TV Viewers Have Ever Forgotten Sarah Geronimo:

One, they have to become a superhero with low brainy mind and wacky savior of desperate fits of dully favoritism. (From GMA-7 Primetime Action Fantaserye.)

Two, they have to go crazy with clowny, jerky tearless “hu-hu-hu” watching habit with no-knowing miss-out. (From GMA-7 Afternoon Drama Series.)

Three, they spectate so much with “boinky” fanatics of sing-along less “hotty-hotty” and got “yawny” feeling to hear high note singing performance. (From Sunday noontime show SOP)

Four, they feel “fairy” emotion with “hoppy” excitement and “crampy” happiness and joyfulness. (From GMA-7 Drama Fantaserye like Dyesibel.)

Five, they go “tak-tak” their problems away but left “twinky” to know the person of others while “laban-o-bawi”. (From Eat Bulaga on GMA-7.)

Six, they look to someone daring and licking rather than those “babying”. (From local Pinoy version of Marimar.)

Seven, they focused on “kakaibang ganda” with “swak-na-swak na pangit”. (From Bakekang.)

Eight, they like “kiddy” treats with fantasy things, even though they would go “baby” on casual favoritism. (From various GMA-7 animé shows.)

Nine, they only know about other artists and then still stuck on their head around and around to think and hear on the talk of the news. (From “Showbiz Banner” segment on Unang Hirit.)

And on the tenth spot of the lists, they only idolize GMA-7 artists with a wish to meet so “nitty-gritty” but they don’t feel “ho-ho” boring without seriously confronted the status of their fame. (From Wish Ko Lang.)
